Rubik’s Cube Club

Mr. Greenwood will we teaching our 2nd-8th grade students how to solve a Rubik's cube in, in just 7 weeks. From zero to hero!

Did you know that Mr Greenwood can solve a cube in under 30 seconds (and often even faster)!

For those that can already solve the cube Mr Greenwood will teach advance solve techniques to get solves under 30 seconds consistently and build to solves under 20 seconds. They’ll also be a range of other cube’s on hand such a 2x2, 4x4, Megaminx and Skewb.

This 7 week introductory course will teach students in one of two ways. Beginner and advanced.

Beginner:

  • Complete the daisy to white cross

  • Build the bottom layer

  • Second layer

  • Last layer cross

  • Permutation of the last layer

  • Orientation of the last layer

Advanced:

  • Solving the white cross on the bottom

  • Core of F2L

  • 2-look OLL

  • 2-look PLL

  • Other cubes such as 2x2, 4x4, mirror cube, megaminx and pyraminx

When:

Sessions start Thursday 29th October (22nd Oct is conference day so club doesn’t start then) and runs through to 10th December from 3.15pm to 4.15pm.

Where:

Middle School classroom. Pick up from front office. Aftercare available.

Who:

2nd-8th grade.

Equipment:

All students will be provided with a speed cube.
